One of the best things about living in North Dakota are the crispy, snow covered winter days that come along mid-January. The sun reflects off the snow cover. The sky is a luscious shade of blue. The days are beginning to feel a little, little longer. Change is coming.
The Helen Keller quote, “Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and i learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content” reminds me of this time of year. I incised a portion of this quote into the surface of the sculpture.
