Artist Statement
Through my process of construction and destruction, I push clay into animal forms. I sculpt from memory, inspired by the hours of living and being with my pack of Greyhound dogs.
I meld the muscles, bones, sinewy lines, and shapely curves of the canine with the plastic, pliable clay to convey my feelings about difficulties, challenges and the small moments in life filled with humor.
